Vaughan Williams with NJ Symphony: Stream Now Available

Post by Tuboxchef »

Friends, my Vaughan Williams Tuba Concerto performance is now LIVE on NJSO's broadcast page. For those of you who could not be at the performances, you can now listen for free. I hope you enjoy my take on the Vaughan Williams. We spent a considerable amount of time rehearsing this piece in preparation for this recording. I appreciate Maestra Zhang's time spent on bringing out all the subtle details, and frankly all the time spent on helping ME feel comfortable sitting in front of the orchestra for a change :) . We were able to achieve all the nuance I had hoped for.

Enjoy and thanks for listening!

Whew! Derek, that's about the finest performance I've yet heard of that concerto. Congratulations, and thanks for posting. What tuba were you using?
