King sousaphone identification

Post by PivoLukas »

Just bought King 2350 and can't identify on which year was it made.
The serial number (133042) suggested, that it's made between 1930-1935, or on 1985.
Interesting thing is the simple engraving on the bell, which I haven't found anywhere else in photos on the internet.
Maybe you, guys, have some ideas about this sousa's origin?

Is that the COMPLETE serial number? ... or is there possibly a prefix?

Yes it is a complete serial. I've looked all around the sousa for other signs, but there is only this serial number without prefix and that unusual engraving.

It came without the neck, so I should seek for new type neck? Or old type of neck would fit also?
