I've used naphtha to remove adhesives and other gunk from various kinds of finished wood surfaces, and I'd think epoxy lacquer could withstand it. Obviously, try a small amount in an inconspicuous area first.

Zep Citrus Degreaser, available at Home Depot in gallon bottles for about $12. Great stuff.

no to the solvents!
Yes to the degreaser...pick your poison, I'm guessing they all work. Simple Green Crystal is amazing in the scum in can remove from any surface.

I've used purple power. It's my go to heavy duty degreaser, and works decently in that regard, but I usually go to it because it's easy to find.
I also like that it's purple.
