Visiting the Wessex USA store-7/21/2017

Post by LarryPrestonRoberson »

I'm visiting the Wessex USA store in Ferrysburg, Michigan today (7/21). Let me know if anyone wants me to try out anything in particular and rate/review.

I'm planning to try the Festivo’ Front-Valve Compensated Euphonium – EP104, since I know there are a number of people that are interested in this model. I prefer top action valves myself, but it will be interesting to try a comp front action.

Please try the Anton. And if possible compare it to the Luzern. I am interested in the free function of the valves, the low register openness, and of course intonation.

That's interesting -- and probably would steer me away from it (would want more Bruckner than Piggy). Not in the market, but appreciate the info!

I would like to spendsome time with a berg, but don't want to potentially spend 450 on shipping. I think they are out of stock now.

I'd love some pictures of the place, just to get an idea of what it looks like!

Best to visit second half of August after our next 40' container arrives...more to try then.

If you time it right, even the 6/4 CC prototype may be there :)

I am determined Wessex will be at TMEA next year. I think the exciting range we will by then offer makes it worth visiting all you great people in Texas!

He may be embarrassed that he posted he was visiting Wessex Tubas without first checking if the store was actually open. On July 21st, Wessex USA store was closed for vacation!
