I don't care for the new package either, but refilling the old bottle has worked for me so far. It's great oil. I haven't found anything that works as well.
I asked Joe Hetman about the packaging change, and he was't happy about it. Evidently, new laws require that all oils of a certain viscosity have to be in a child-proof package. Blame the lawyers and politicans.

I hate the new containers too. They take two hands to use, they leak, and they're too big.
From what I've heard, they are required by the government to package their product this way and that everyone else has just been getting away with it for so long that people have gotten used to those bottles.
I repackage mine to make it easier to use.

I also put the new oil in the old container. Not too difficult, the nipple pops off fairly easily.
I spoke with Joe Hetman a couple of months ago and he told me that he's heard a lot of complaints about the new bottle (eye-dropper pkg). He hopes to have an improved bottle similar to the old one... but with child-proof cap on it fairly soon.

Hetman's is good stuff. Too bad the bottles stink! I usually don't carry a large bottle of Hetman's with me because I prefer to put a small amount in one of those little bitty contact lens rewetting solution bottle. I suppose accidents can happen

...but if I'm stupid enough to squirt the stuff in my eye, I deserve a little pain

I love Hetmans but hate the guvmint-mandated eyedropper cap.
The first time I used the eyedropper I knocked over the bottle while the cap was out and lost half the oil.
I am now refilling the old Hetmans bottle from the new. Glad to hear Joe is designing a new gubmint-approved cap.

I never noticed any oder. I just did a sniff test and can detect no oder at all

I use the Hetman Light (PN: H1-LP-60 or Hetman Light Piston Oil).

I resent that! I have never put anything up my nose... except maybe my finger when I was a little kid

I think Hetmans smells a LOT better than petroleum-based oils. It's nice not to be huffing petroleum spirits into your lungs too. Plus the stuff is awesome.
