If you wanted to buy some tuba duets, new music and not the same old stuff, where would you look (i.e., what publishers?)

Windsong has some interesting (and difficult) duets written by Micky Wrobleski: http://www.windsongpress.com/Music/chicken/chicken.htm

You could also look at Cimarron: http://www.cimarronmusic.com/music-tuba.cfm

and Solid Brass: http://www.sldbrass.com/

and finally Wind Music Plus: http://windmusicplus.safeshopper.com/252/cat252.htm?46

Pat Sheridan's got a book:

They're on the easy side, but fun.

Steve Ferguson has the Tommy Pederson trombone duets on his site (down at the bottom of the page):

http://www.hornguys.com/books.htm

They're a little off the beaten track...

Mary Ann, the first thing that springs to mind is Gallay or maye the Pottag duet books. Does this stuff not work for two tubas?

Goodies for Two Tubas - Book 1

by Sanae Kanda

These duets are different than most of the stuff currently out there. Various levels and styles represented in the book. (Jazz, Blues, Tango and others.) Ten Duets in all.

These duets are available from TubaStudio.com

Good luck!

The reason I was asking is I have some duets that are published for french horn, and a dear friend did the transcribing for tuba a couple years ago. He was impressed with them, but I have never gotten around to submitting them to a publisher. I always thought I'd try TUBA press, and I was making query to see where tuba players would look for duets. Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe I'll get around to it soon.
