A New Woodward Concerto!

If you've heard the first woodward tuba concerto, you're going to love this new woodward concerto! but, unfortunately it's for the trombone. I love writing music for the tuba (and you guys are awesome!), but the next woodward tuba concerto has to be so good and flawless that I'm not ready to tackle it yet (sometime soon perhaps, but I don't want to disapoint anyone with a lousy second tuba concerto).

In the meantime, when you're in your various orchestras and ensembles, whisper a word over to the trombones for me. Something like, "Hey, have you heard about this new woodward trombone concerto published by Gold Branch Music and found on www.goldbranchmusic.com?" It may be a little overboard, but I would be extremely, extremely grateful!

Great to hear you've got another brass piece on the way! Any chance you could do something for tuba and rock band? Hope I'll get around to playing the original tuba concerto someday (the recording you gave me sounds great!). Maybe I'll get to see you in LA sometime this summer. Take it easy!
