I really can't imagine any potential student being "unwelcomed" at Florida State, especially in the tuba studio. They really are a happy, amicable group. The music department is absolutely first rate, and blessed with a fair share of positive energy. Next time you come through Tallahassee, let me know and I'll be happy to show you around and introduce you to some folks. I also can't imagine the band personnel being anything other than welcoming. You should contact Professors Clary or Dunnigan. They are both great musicians and great people. I'm sure they'd love to talk with you as well. Good luck.
