I'm thinking newer works that may not be "standards" yet but certainly should be.

First: "October" by Eric Whitacre

"Bugs!" by Roger Cichy

Keep em coming...

The tubas don't get to do much
But man, when we do play something, just drop that Eb down an octave and let er rip. One of the coolest moments i've had is just laying out on that low Eb. So good...

Rocky Point Holiday by Ron Nelson?

I dont know if this may already be a "standard" but I really like it, and think it should be played more.

October is a GREAT piece and will undoubtedly be a standard soon. And I'll say again Poema Alpestre. If you haven't heard it do so.

i'd just like to thank everyone so far for only letting frankie T's name only slip onto this post once. probably everything he writes is going to be a standard, but they shouldn't. no depth to his music at all. sorry about my rant. i'd like to give a nod to "Myaku" by david djube i think it'll be the next "short ride in a fast machine"
