hey,
looking at the new Cronkite website:
http://glenncronkhite.com/product/euphonium/" target="_blank
I'm looking closely at the picture and it looks like plastic hardware where the straps clip to the eyelet.
I read below and it said that they use:
Finest metal and delrin hardware
Does anyone have any experience with delrin hardware?
It looks kinda funky to me, I love his cases and I'm wondering if that is just cutting corners or it's fine. I'm sure I'll need another gig bag in the future and I'd like to get one in the future.
Thanks,
B

There are also no tuba bags listed under their product heading.

Yeah, no tuba bags yet, it's on their FB page:
Steve Vaughn: Any idea on when the (hundreds!) of tuba versions/sizes will be available?

Glenn Cronkhite Custom Cases:
By the weekend, I think. We FINALLY compiled a list, in the order we hung the patterns, of all that he's sent our way so far. It's 13 pages.

I'm not looking to get a Euph bag, sorry if that wasn't clear. I put the link just so you could see the delrin clips.

Re: Finest metal and delrin hardware?
Delrin is good stuff. It's normally used in place of Nylon and other similar plastics. Moisture causes Nylon to expand a bit and Delrin is a good choice where machined tolerances are important. Those little grommets in Miraphone linkages are made of Delrin.

No. The grommets I'm referring to are the white ones that go in the 'S' link and fit the tapered pin that screws into the stop arm.bloke wrote:You're not referring to the grey plastic material...??Dan Schultz wrote:Delrin is good stuff.
