Hello Tubenetters;
I am average to above Bb tuba player.
I am looking for Music Books that would help me with playing melodies.
The goal is to become a better chamber music player.
Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Definitely Rochut/Bordogni. Most succesful low brass musicians swear by them. Get the trombone book 1. play them down 1 and 2 octaves. Don't rush. Take your time to breath and blow with artistry. Good luck!

Yes. And, as you become more advanced, you can play them in the octave written.

If you don't mind shopping vocal music to get the same melodies, you can get the Bordogni etudes with a nice piano accompaniment too.

I have a set of duets recently reviewed in the ITEA Journal. 5 are original and 5 are based on famous orchestral melodies (American in Paris, Mahler 5, etc.). They are for two tubas, or there's a set for two euphs/trombones.
Good to do some duet work to get your chamber skills up. The difficulty I'd say is medium-hard. My honest opinion.
Happy to answer questions if you have any. Have fun playing whatever you decide to pick up!
