Strange... I thought it worked the other way around: losing the sun was my punishment for a recent run of wrong notes. I meant to woodshed over the weekend...

Yorkaholic: it's very dark at night. That's why you couldn't see anything. Try it during the day and see what happens. :)

I brought my Tournister BBb to a small eclipse (and music) festival in Oregon, but I never actually played it. It was a good event and my first total!

Ok,
I know this is outside my expertise, seeing that I'm just a retired USAF musician and retired elementary band director, but ( I've been to the opthama, optomatha .... eye doctor many times), try sleeping with your eyes lids open, instead of closing them, and report the results here on Tubenet. Inquiring minds need to know in case they encounter similar situations.

No particular difference, unless sleeping face up in full sun. Then you need eclipse glasses or something. Seriously, my eyes open up once I drop off to sleep, and if I'm then looking at the sun, it wakes me right up.
