I know that such a finish is available on the Conn 5XJ series. They call it "satin lacquer." For some reason it wasn't available on the King 2341, although I guess if you asked they might do it.

I don't know why it hasn't been offered by other manufacturers. If they have the ability to prepare the surface for satin silver, it should be easy enough to just lacquer it at that point rather than plating it.

In the late 19th/early 20th century, a gold plated satin finish was commonly offered as an option, but it wasn't done that often for obvious reasons.

King and Conn offer the satin finish if you want to pay for it and wait for the order.
...AND accept that one instrument, rather than the recommended practice of selecting the "pick of the litter". I love my King 2341 - but it's the best of about 6 that I played, and I'd say that I would probably have been disappointed with 3 out of that 6.
