Hello everyone, for my Pedagogy class (last music class i still need to graduate) i am trying to compile a small list of beginning to intermediate tuba solos that i could possible have younger students try to tackle in the future, for those who teach younger students do you have any recommend pieces and if so, do you have a pdf of it? Before i ever have a student study the piece i will buy an original, i am only looking at the pdf's to figure out some of the challenges and difficulties the student may encounter, as well as some of the skills they will have to have before attempting the piece.

Here is some resources

"Solo Sounds for Tuba", vol. I, (Belwin) is a little book of easy solos. There is also a piano accompaniment book. Among other things in the book I really like "Allegro from Sonata #3" (Vivaldi/Swanson) and "Sonata 7, 1st movement" (Haydn/Bowles). My young students always seem to enjoy working on them.

there is a nice set of Canadian Brass solos available at a few different ability levels. check them out!
