Would it be possible to compare the B&S PT-606 (GR41) with the Miraphone 1293?

It would appear that nobody has enough experience with both to feel comfortable offering an opinion.

I've played both but not recently and never at the same time or same room.

Caveats out of the way.. I would say a few things:
1) Plenty of folks like both and sound fine on them so they can't be all that bad.
2) I wouldn't own either.. not the sonic or response qualities that I seek from an instrument. They are both chasing an 'American' concept of tuba that I don't care to sound like.
3) The PT606 has a markedly flat 3rd partial. I would consider it completely unacceptable HOWEVER the slots are wide enough that it's easy to lip. IF you spent enough time with the horn you could likely get in the habit of blowing it perfectly in tune without much conscious effort. In all other ways, it checks the correct boxes and is an easy playing horn. Listen to the John Sass Album Sassified for an example of what it can do in capable dedicated hands.
4) The 1293 is actually quite nice and the only one of the 129x Miraphone family I would consider owning. Intonation, response, resonance of sound is very well 'sorted' from the factory. Very plug and play. It is what a stereotypical Yamaha tuba aspires to be.

That said, if you are using my opinions to decide what to buy you are doing tuba shopping wrong. I routinely completely disagree with the opinions of others on this forum and that's ok.. I like what I like.
