Nirschl leadpipe swap with Besson 995

Hello All
Ok, repair guru's, I have a question for you. I own a Nirschl 4/4 CC and love it dearly except for the angle of the leadpipe. I have grown accustomed to the wierd angle over the years but am wondering if it would be possible to get a leadpipe from the Besson 995 and "bolt" it on. Any one have any experience with this modification and if so, were the results favorable? Just curious. I also wonder if I would receive better results with a custom leadpipe built for my exact horn. Any suggestions would be great.
