Professional Tuba Instruction in South Carolina
Looking for professional tuba instruction. I've tried YouTube, but there is nothing like face to face interaction. I'm struggling to progress; I need a professional ear.

Where is SC? Have you contacted the local symphonies, universities, or maybe the local military band (Ft. Jackson)?

Without knowing where you are located:
John Sizemore, located in Spartanburg/Greenville area, teaches at North Greenville University and SC Governor's School
Ron Davis, USC in Columbia
John Holloway, Spartanburg Phil teaches at Converse College
Dan Turner, Bob Jones University in Greenville
Matt Anderson, located in Greenville, teaches at Clemson University
Mark Britt, Furman University (I filled in for Mark the past 7 years, he's back at it and a great teacher)
and I'm sure I've left out a slew of other folks....

In addition to the good list posted above, I would also add Dr. Douglas Black at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, SC https://www.winthrop.edu/cvpa/faculty/d ... x?id=36804" target="_blank
and Dr. Joanna Hersey at the University of North Carolina at Pembroke, which is just a few minutes north of the North Carolina-South Carolina border, just off Interstate 95.

Rock Hill is a long way from Pawley's Island. You might check at Coastal Carolina or I'm sure there would be somebody in Charleston.
