Anyone know of a tuba, cimbasso, bass trombone, serpent, etc. recording of "Blue Daniel"? It's a great little jazz waltz with a theme that reminds me a bit of The Odd Couple. I'm going to begin playing it, but my improv chops suck. Here are links to two different 'classic' renditions.

Hmmm... not a bass/contrabass instrument version, but if you want a valve-instrument-oriented version, I like the Rob McConnell arrangement (which he plays on valve trombone)--

Thanks gentlemen. I will definitely check them both out. I'll probably buy the Jim Self disc - it's bound to be great - and it's a great tune!
