It is that time of year again, and if i come up with something by tomorrow, i will have three chances to use it.
I have set the conceptual bar high, implementation bar low and number of years ago with a cardboard box, bright green construction paper, a red permanent marker, and an engineers cap.
My design process was basically observing a tuba bell looks like a train smoke stack.Look online until i found a particular old engine that used a vertical boiler with a stack on top of it, and that was the tuba entire.
At the halloween concert, most looked confused, and playing with a box around me made dealing with sheet music a mild hastle, but i was amply reward with a hearty laugh from across the room from New Hampshire couple who recognised Peppersass, the No. 1 engine for the Mt. Washington Cog railway.
Photos might exist, but for the 'nonce i am too lazy to track 'em down. I guess i just figured relating it might stir my creativity once more...
And i bet others here could tell some good tales...

Thanks for playing!
