So what the heck makes certain tubas "Professional" models, anyway?

Actually, manufacturers can name an instrument anything they choose. I guess it would be a little ridiculous to use the "professional" term for an instrument which is obviously a beginner instrument. In my opinion, just because it says professional doesn't mean most professionals would choose to use it.

It's called that so one can easily distinguish it from the "Professorial" models that schools often have
