This ensemble from London Orchestras are a class act. Heard them a good few times including last night.
They're heading out to the US for a tour starting end of Jan. Highly recommended.
Don't expect slapstick comedy from performers or repertoire, just first class brass chamber music played as well as you're likely to find anywhere.
Tuba players can enjoy Pete Smith playing his late Imperial Eb compensator with a rare fluidity and evenness of sound.

Then how will I know I'm being "entertained"Peach wrote: Don't expect slapstick comedy from performers or repertoire, just first class brass chamber music played as well as you're likely to find anywhere.
I feel like part of the reason other groups that add entertainment concepts to their performances are still successful is because the musical execution contributes to the overall effect. The concepts are not the whole show, just part of it.

Peach, to be clear, I don’t believe you intended any slight either.

Re: Septura
I currently own all their albums. I'm hoping I get an opportunity to hear them live.
