I’m pretty sure they are all... to some extent or another.

Re: Who is going to TUSAB conference?
I love this conference; in my opinion consistently the best tuba/euph conference. It’s relatively small (compared to ITEC), but truly excellent, very well run, and lots of fun.
I’ll be playing the first Strauss horn (tuba) concerto with the US Army orchestra Friday night. It’s quite a special thing for me; I remember being blown away at this conference by Traveling Light my senior year of high school, immediately after auditioning for Sam backstage, and playing in Bobo masterclasses there as a undergrad and then doctoral student. Super special memory of my IU quartet playing the pre-grand finale recital at the 2003 conference. Plus I grew up ten miles from the base.
This will be a year/career/life highlight, for sure. Hope to see you there!

Re: Who is going to TUSAB conference?
I'll stop by (again), maybe multiple days.
Got my career started there by talking to the right person at the right time back in '99. I was wearing my corps jacket and happened to be found by one of the members of the USMC D&B after an AFTEE rehearsal (when AFTEE was physically huge). He gave me his card, I contacted the right people, and I played an audition when they traveled out my way later that year. Enlisted and DEP'd that fall, got my degree, then shipped to boot camp the next Thanksgiving.
If you guys saw a guy in a red coat with a contrabass bugle for Them Basses in the past decade, it was probably me.
