OK... OK.... I know this is a tuba forum. But since a lot of you guys double on other horns and some are in the repair/sales business I figured it wouldn't hurt to put out an APB on this one.
It's a Conn valve trombone. #3 bore (.500") with a 7" bell. The serial number is 298611 putting it's birthday in late 1934 or early 1935. Last seen at the Lock & Dam Building in Newburgh, Indiana at about 8:45pm on Tuesday, June 7th. The only engraving on the bell is "Conn, LTD - Elkhart, IN". The horn is 90% raw brass and has no model number that I could find. Missing the tuning slide brace.

This horn was recovered today around 2pm. A young man walked into a local antique store and said "I think folks are looking for this"... referring to the posters I put up around town. It took eight days, but it appears that honesty is alive and well in Newburgh, Indiana.
