Hi Tubenetters!
What are some exercises to "break-in" to a new mouthpiece and get used to it? Just got a Bach 7, upgrading from a Bach 18, and I just want to get used to the greater resistance and rim diameter. Thanks in advance!

Just play. You'll get used to it. Nothing special to be done.

More resistance from a larger mouthpiece?
Anyway it is about getting the sense of the exact amount of air support needed to sustain the attacks, slurs, crescendos, diminuendos, and general flexibility in all ranges. If I can play secure slurs in and out of the pedal range, liptrills & arpeggios & scales in all ranges at all dynamics with the desired sound and with good intonation, then I have a sense of having adapted reasonably to a new constellation of instrument and mouthpiece.
