For those of you who don't frequently check the events or calendar boards, my teacher, Ryan Schultz will be playing his first DMA recital next Tuesday evening, June 14, at 7:30. Location is Music Works Northwest in the Eastgate part of Bellevue, right alongside I-90. He'll be playing both solo and quintet works by Mozart, Hartley, F. Strauß, Ewald, and Gershwin. Ryan is a doctoral student of Chris Olka's at the University of Washington. At the close, punch and pie is promised!

Ryan also regularly subs for Chris Olka with the Seattle Symphony and is a really good tuba player. Everyone in the area should go to hear him.

If I had promised to punch people, noone would have attended my recital, even if I gave them pie!

But that's because you were promising to
throw pies...
