Hard Cases for three valve King Tuba model 1140

Postby capt_tuba » Wed Feb 14, 2018 4:23 pm

Trying to help a colleague of mine, he is a middle school band director who lucked upon three King model 1140 tubas that the high school was getting rid of. Spent a little bit of money on them and now he has three functioning horns with no cases. Anyone have one or three hard cases that they are wanting to get rid of. His plan now is to buy a new one every couple of years, so I thought I would help him out and see if there was anything out there. It is a small horn (16 in bell, 31.5 in long). Thanks!!!

Correction, the horn is 34 inches long and a 15 inch bell.

Check out options at 1800usaband.com (Taylor Music). They are fairly likely to have an option that would work.

Contact Hunter Musical on Long Island, NY, and ask them if they have spare CASES for this model:

The cases that I've seen shipped with these are molded plastic.

If they have the cases as a separate item for sale, they are priced reasonably, but won't sell them to you (??), I might be able to (admittedly, a bit reluctantly, and I would not accept a return).
