I just ordered a new Miraphone 5V BBb 191 and am trying to pass time while I wait anxiously for delivery. I am wondering what people use for 4 and 5th slide tuning (long full step, long half, major 3rd, etc) and what fingering they are using with their set up. My preference is to minimize pushing and pulling slides as I play.
Tuba Tom looking for tuning tips while waiting to toot his new tuba.

They have 2 slides for 4th valve which is nice, so you can tune it for the top slide all in and then pull it for a little help on whatever note. the 1-2, 3, 2-3 region is where the intonations problems are.

After playing a 6V horn, wish I could go back to it...

This may not be the best picture, but it's what Melton puts on the second valve of their 4250. It's very solid and works very quick.
