Your Solo Tuba

Post by MN_TimTuba »

I read a lot here about which horns you all use for this group or that group, not much on your solo horn, so here's the question - when you are fronting the band or orchestra or other setting, which tuba is your horn of choice for solo work, and why? As a sub-question, if you (like me) generally do it all with one horn please state so.
Mainly, I'm just curious; on the other hand, I'm tucking this info in the back of my head re: a future probable purchase.
Thank you for your time,
Tim
