Hi all,
Please see this thread to read about an amazing Cimbasso build by hand for me by Alessandro Faccin in Italy.
It’s a work of art and by far the finest one I’ve played.

And he's a great guy!
All the best.

Apart from the wonderful old Orsi bell (which I wanted), and the rotors, this is a completely handmade instrument.
Every tube and curve shaped skilfully just for this instrument.
This is NOT a botched together instrument.

What key is it in? It would be nice to hear it with the valves installed.

Hi,
It's in Eb. There are video clips on the Facebook link I believe.
It's just shipped off to the States as I'm on tour in NYC this April so sadly only had it at home for 2 days!
If anyone wants more clips please PM me. This guy has a great future ahead if the quality of this build is anything to go by. Italians certainly know their stuff in this area.
Al the best.

Hi,
I've had a couple of messages asking to see the cimbasso. Of course, no problem! Come and have a go.
We are playing at the Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) for a month.
