For the gig bag issue, go Altieri. I've used mine for about the last 6 months regularly with no protection on the pistons and nothing has gotten bent. If you're very concerned about protection, they send a piston protector thing with it that you just strap over the pistons and it will protect them. I've never used it.

:shock: :oops: :D THANK YOU!! Why didn't I think about that..... Duh! What does that look like? I wonder if the nice ladies would sell me a couple? I have been thinking about using the bag they made for my Holton front action euphonium with my festivo, but I had the same concerns. I wasn't too worried about the Holton, I don't think it would hurt it to drop it off the roof.
