Hi all,

Let me start off with a warning: This gig is not one of those well-paying ones. The stipend will likely cover gas money. Otherwise, I'd be giving my regular sub-list a call.

I'm looking for a player to perform the Tuba II part. You'll need to have the part up to performance ready in two weeks. That's a must.

I imagine it would be a good experience for a performance student at any of the several schools in the area. However, if any of you Ontario pros wanna come toot through this incredible piece of orchestra literature with me, don't hesitate to drop me a line.

Here's the info:
Rite of Spring , Saturday April 28, 7:30pm
River Run Centre, Guelph ON (Canada)

1) Monday April 16 7:30-10pm, Co-operator's Hall, 35 Woolwich St
2) Friday April 20- 7:30-10pm, Calvary Baptist Church, 454 Arkell Rd
3) Monday April 23 7:30-10pm, Co-operator's Hall
4) Wednesday April 25 7:30-10pm, Basilica of Our Lady, 28 Norfolk St
5) Friday April 27 7:30-10pm, Calvary Baptist, 454 Arkell Rd
6) Saturday April 28 1-4 pm dress, Main Stage, River Run Centre
7) 7:30 concert

I'm sure I could negotiate on your behalf if you need to miss one (or a few) services, considering the pay.

Please contact me by email: [my Tubenet handle(which is "TOOBIST)"](at)gmail[dot]com

Or, if you already know me, CALL! :)

Al

The Guelph Symphony enjoyed an exciting season finale on Saturday night.

I'd like to thank Allan Lee for playing the gig with me. Super job!

Thanks so much, Wade. (Been enjoying your posts on Frankentubas!)

Thanks Al,

It was a blast to play. Probably the most challenging orchestral music I have performed.
