Anyone have a good fingering chart for BBb tuba with 5 valves where the 5th valve = a minor 3rd? I'd settle for suggestions on use of the 5th valve/fingerings in the low register.
Thanks

Re: Minor 3rd 5th Valve Fingerings
Can Eb be played with 4+5? That's how I have my 5th valve set up. I'll usually tune my 5th by playing the Eb right below the staff alternating between 1st and 4+5, then adjusting the 5th slide until it matches.
Low B works as 12345, and yeah, C is 2345. So let's see... on my horn:
B below the staff is pretty well-tuned at 235, but if the other tubas in the section have to use 24, it's better to match them with 24 even if they're sharp.
Low E = 235
Eb = 45
D = 234
Db = 1234
C = 2345
B = 12345
Try those fingerings an octave up and see how it goes.
