For something about middle-school level, there are the Rubank solo books as well as the Tuba Tunes books. Maybe not up-to-date like LOTR, but accessible.

There are several trombone books that have music from Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, etc. They are not hard to play if you can read the music down an octave.

If this is Rick and your still near Sammamish, come to the Sammamish Symphony Concert this Sunday, buy at least one adult ticket at $10 and I'll give you a Star Wars book for trombone. (What a way to get an audience!) Come up on stage after the concert and introduce yourself. I'll be the only guy with a tuba.
