Fun photo of a true giant of the tuba

Post by Dave Detwiler »

Hi all,

As I plod along on my research on Herman Conrad, a friend of mine sent me a really fun photo of him from 1903.

You can check it out here: http://tubapastor.blogspot.com/2018/04/ ... -tall.html

Have a great weekend!
Played an F. E. Olds 4-valve BBb in high school (late '70s)
Led the USC Trojan Marching Band tuba section (early '80s)
Now playing an F. Schmidt (=VMI) 3301 and goofing around
on a 1927 Pan American 64K Sousaphone Grand
