My part to Tchaik 4 is missing a bar on page 2. There are a few versions floating around, but the missing bar is crammed in there via poor manuscript. Anyone out there have a GOOD part I can borrow, rent or purchase? Please email to:

I already looked at this; it's missing the measure ...

Glad he got a good copy. I guess Kalmus is no worse than the other publishers when it comes to errata.

Yup, that's a famous one. Worst of all, it can make the tuba player look/sound like a doofus. I think I've played it 4 times in my career, and not once has a loaner copy come to me with the correction in place or the flaw marked in any way. There is a special place in hell for the people who keep lending out that edition uncorrected.

Oops
Here is the corrected splice, which I did upload some years ago.

Sorry to have bent your mind. My intention was to minimize the number of "accidentals". That makes it easier for someone with less-than perfect sight-reading skill, like me. I am sure that more skilled and better-trained tubists like you don't need that kind of crutch, and no doubt have the correct part memorized anyway. (I can play "Sweet Georgia Brown" in every key, with no sheet music. Can you?)

To all the guys who helped me find good part. There is a good version in the old Torchinski book, if you can find one.
