I’d suggest that the most valuable content of that (and other similar excerpt books) is the table of contents. Take the TOC and start finding the parts—the entire parts—to the listed works. Then, find the recordings (CDs, Spotify, YouTube, whatever...) and watch the part go by as you listen how each excerpt fits into the entire work. Bonus points for getting study scores or PDFs of the scores from IMSLP.
