Update; I use hose clamps as a stop and it cured the slippage issues.Three Valves wrote:I use a Hercules playing stand with mine.
It does slip a little if you don't cinch down the post real tight.
If it happens again I will simply rest the center post on the floor then cinch it down.

Shortly after I thought I would like to try a tuba stand, a friend was getting rid of a folding guitar stand that was missing the bottom "yoke". I removed the top yoke and fashioned a cradle from a 4" pvc drain elbow. I cut a 1" ID hose barb and epoxied it into the cradle. The other half of the hose barb is hose clamped to the stand's post. The cradle swivels and is removable for transport. Cost for parts approx $7.
