I'm wondering if the Wessex rotary F cimbasso will fit in the K&M contrasbassoon stand. Any input appreciated.

Thanks Joe. Does that differ from their contrabassoon stand? It looks very similar.

Yes. If you can’t find one that’s padded for the entire length of the contact point then it’s easy enough to pad yourself.
Wirh other types of stands (contra bassoon, contra clarinet etc) the contact point with the cimbasso are too narrow for my liking. Then I really have to concentrate every time I put the cim in the stand.
I did an outdoor theater show last year and the company had a c-bassoon and a c-bass stand So I had a change to try out what Wormer for me.

Awesome, as always, Herr Blokemeister.
By the way, I played your m.p. today for a 4th of July gig - an 11 piece group playing 'turn of the century' stuff (5 strings, 2 woodwinds, 2 trumpets (cornet), t-bone and tuba). It sounded GREAT on the Neptune tuba. I use the Baer MMVI just when I'm the only tuba player in a 50 piece wind ensemble.
When I play with S.F.'s Deutscher Musikverien and I use your Blokepiece, I can perfectly match the other tubaist who uses a Miraphone 191 BBb. Good stuff.

I use a K&M cello stand for mine and it works great. Sturdy and secure for quick changes and also light enough when I bungee it to the case and folding dolly...
