I was making an attempt to be “funny.” I was not making a veiled attempt to single out any particular manufacturer(s). I own or have owned some very fine and not so fine instruments made by John Packer, Jupiter, Schiller, Wessex, and Mack Brass. I also own or have owned some very fine and not so fine instruments made by Conn, King, Benge, and Reynolds.
