I have actually heard quite the opposite in that it is a really great way to discover new ways of playing. I have a friend who is doing a masters in Alexander technique. She says it helps you find air in places you never knew you had it. Supposedly it helps not only your playing but your daily life as well. Im going to look into it next semester for sure. I would recommend at least looking into it so you might be able to formulate your own opinion. Good luck. -Joe

I hope that if you feel that Alexander Technique would help then have the courage of your convictions to try it properly.

Some other members of the class thought the technique beneficial. Sounds like you got some usefulness out of it also.

For me, it was still a crock of $#!^.
