Ewald & Meinl

Post by EMC »

Just curious if anyone had any experience with this company, they dont seem to make tubas anymore which is sad since this one appears to be an absolute gem of a Kaiser tuba. I love me a good BBb tuba so ive taken some interest in this particular one. :tuba:

For context this one is about 43 inches tall, bell is 19.6 or so, with the typical .846 size bore.

The Ewald Meinl Company (nowadays in 3rd generation under Bernhard Meinl) has specialized in historical instruments like sackbuts, trumpets, natural horns. They are well known for their fine quality bells for all kinds of instruments. They seem to make also other parts for brass instruments.

Did you upload full size images or did Google Drive resize them for you? This is only 244 × 325.

They are like large thumbnail shots. I couldn't find any links to larger images.

I downloaded the first one and uploaded it to my hosing site. This is exactly what I see when I click your links...

Hmmm im pretty sure google drive is the one resizing my photos i can try uploading through dropbox a bit later hopefully thatll deliver some higher quality pics
