What mouthpiece should I look for?

Post by Jjarma01 »

I am currently an undergraduate student and I do not yet own my own f tuba. However, I am using my school's tuba and I am just wondering what mouthpiece you nice tuba folks think I should look in to buying. The tuba is a BMB J-445. Thanks.
A butt tuba spelled backwards is still a butt tuba.

I generally suggest a PT65 for F tuba, it has worked very well for me.

If Tubenet is going to be your teacher, you should spend a few hours giving yourself a lesson with it. There are hundreds of insightful and ingenious rationals given in endless posts for why some mouthpieces are better than others, for others on other tubas.
