Going to WWBW... Need advice.

Post by smurphius »

I'm going to WWBW this week on my way to going to play a wedding in Toledo, Ohio. I've never been there so I was wondering what to expect. The only major shop I've been to is Baltimore Brass Co. I am currently in the market for an Eb or F tuba, which is my main reason for going.

If you have any advice on instruments to try or cool things about the Brasswind to look forward to, let me know! :D Thanks guys!!

Call Roger and try to be there at a time when he will be there.

If you have not tried a certain key of tuba, be sure to try one out when you are there... or several. If you are somewhat serious about shopping for a tuba, don't expect to spend less than a couple of hours dinking around in the tuba room. Same goes for mouthpieces.

Call ahead, and make sure that they have the tuba you are looking for (if you are looking to try a specific one) in stock.

Just be ready to pee in your pants when you see the tuba room... I almost did.
