Well he just subbed a brief stint. He was never a long term member of the society. His most notable playing is with the NDR. He filled in after Yasu went to Cleveland. Great orchestra but hit or miss with brass. Mainly because of the constant changing of conductors. But agreed Hilgers is outstanding. However Thomas Keller is a big hot shot. Look him up. Talk about a sound.
