more info on Terry Warburton
As you have probably already heard, Terry Warburton's manufacturing
facility (located in his backyard out in the boonies in central Florida)
just burned to the ground. Because the area is so rural, there aren't
enough (any) fire hydrants for insurance company standards, and as a
result he was not insured for his estimated $750,000 loss. Luckily, no one
was hurt.
Terry is a great guy that's given a lot to the musical community. He's not
looking for charity. So please pass the word along to EVERY brass player
you know that the best way people can help is to go to his website
(www.warburton-usa.com, and ordering on the site should once again be
operational by early July) and order a backup mouthpiece or some of his
PDQ valve oil. And be patient - it'll take him a couple of months to get
everything into production again, but he will get these orders filled as
soon as he possibly can. This will give him much-needed funds to replace
everything he's built up over the past 25 years.
I just talked to him, and typical for Terry, he's really upbeat and
jumping into the rebuilding project with both feet. Something tells me the
new facility will be a steel building with a water tower on the roof!
Thanks for passing this along to everyone you can think of.
