The Besson National Brass Band Championhips of GB will be in Royal Albert Hall on October 16. I may be in London then. I checked the Royal Albert Hall website, which does not show the event on its calendar. Is it open to the public? Are tickets needed? Is it just a matter of going to the hall and walking in? Any advice on what to do to attend would be welcome.

Yes people are allowed to attend it is a very big event and there will be tons of people there. You will probably need tickets to get in buti'm not sure where exactly to get them. check out www.4barsrest.com to keep up with the brass band happenings here in England. hope this helps a little.

Tickets usually come up for sale from the RAH around July/August after the set test piece has been announced.

You can get them on the day but for a good choice of seat, book early.
