Catalan Fiscorn

In my quest to learn the most I can about tubas and their relatives, I've come across some interesting music from Catalonia. It's got these super loud chromatic zurlas (I'm gonna call them chromatic zurlas, because that's kinda what they are...maybe loud oboes is better). They're generally composed of these double reeded instruments, a trumpet or two, a trombone, an upright bass with 3 strings aaaaand...

They're basically marching euphoniums with rotary valves in C. I kinda want one...I've got a corneta, but that's like 3 octaves higher

I bought it from the guy in the video. He's got a nice little music shop in Baza, Spain.

The reeds are shawms, the smaller tible, larger tenora.

GIRONA M'ENAMORA, Cobla Lluïsos de Taradell, is I think a little more typical sardana arrangement. Note the rhythm in the fiscorn section and the bass, like at 1:04 or 1:52 - it feels to me like it doesn't line up with the melody, but intentionally and that rhythmic tension is very characteristic and important to the dance that the audience does.
