Barring incident, I'll be there.

Incident happened.....I will not be attending. It figures the year I was finally going to do the smart thing and stay until Sunday, my little brother has to fly out to L.A. to be in a movie. Hopefully next year.

Mark Finley wrote:Last year you had a bunch of new horns, including the chicagos and the contrabass trombone. Can't wait to see what you have this year. Are you going to do the barnstorming tour between Washington and San Antonio again this year?
Exhibits should include the production 6/4 BBb Prokofiev, the new BBb Kaiser (which was a big hit on European tour - with prototype sold to German professional), new 6-valve rotary F, new British compensated F and a new 3/4 front piston BBb.

Don’t plan to do a barnstorming tour this year! I will more likely fly in and out :)

I will be there. I've missed a few recently because of travel conflicts, but this one fits right in between two other trips. Arriving Wed and staying at the Virginian Suites. Did anyone else notice that the dates are wrong on the flyer?

I see the problem - on the page for the USABTEW 2019, there is a link to download the 2018 program and the one-page "printable schedule".
They both describe the 2018 Workshop.

Yes, I plan on at least getting to the Tubafours reunion concert. I saw them at the 1995 International Brassfest at Indiana. I am really looking forward to that one.

Looks like I’ll be a few weeks late to Florida to make the trip. School breaks never line up nicely with these conferences.

Joe, what tubas will you be bringing?

I won't be there this year, but maybe next year. My family is in Baltimore, so it should be an easy trip...

Has anyone been able to find out if the government "shutdown" will cause a problem? Sean? :?:

But... can you count on that with the current on-going govt shutdown?

Speaking as a current Department of Defense employee, the partial shutdown SHOULDN'T affect things in any way as DoD funding was set aside in a previous continuing resolution. Us DoD civilians and the uniformed military folks are still funded and being paid (thankfully).

I haven't attended for a few years but hope to make it up for at least a day or two of the workshop.
