Just wanted to share my impression with Lee Stofer's repair work. I've had the chance to let Lee work on my tubas several times and have always been more than pleased with his work. Today I had him vent the valves on my CC tuba and cut the fifth valve slide so I can play an in tune 2-3-5 Db and 1-5 Eb (Eb below the staff is a little high when I tune the 3rd slide to play all Ab's and 3rd valve A's and E's in tune). Tuba plays better than it did new and makes me wish I had done this sooner. Music repairmen are a dime a dozen. However, GOOD repairmen are very hard to come by. This is exactly why I continue to bring my horns to Lee when I am in town. I highly recommend Lee's services to those of you within driving distance of Atlanta!

So that's what he was doing while I was trying to get an Altieri gig bag for my Lidl! All kidding aside, Lee is truly first rate. I wish Atlanta weren't so far away.
