Clasp on new Chronkite gig bag

Post by steve_vaughn »

I recently had a clasp break on my new Cronkhite gig bag (made by torpedo). I emailed them with a picture, explaining what happened, expecting that I'd have to send it back and pay something. To my surprise, they said they are ordering new claps that are more durable, and they'll ship me a new pair once they come in.

Just posting here to spread (more) praise of how torpedo bags have done taking over for Glenn. Although I'm without a strap for a while, I'm relieved with the customer service, and that they'll be sending new clasps soon.

How do you replace that part? Aren't the straps all sewn in place? (No free ends to remove and replace the new clasp) I might be missing something obvious!
